Event Description
This race was created in honor of Firefighter/Paramedic Joseph Mitchell and all those in the medical field who have lost their lives on the frontlines. Funds raised will go towards scholarships for first responders and providing needed equipment for rural departments.
Joseph Mitchell was a jack-of-all-trades and a man who let nothing stand in his way. He was a builder, plumber, hobby extremist, motorcycle fanatic, lighting wizard, and painter extraordinaire. It was evident that his passion was contagious, his humor infectious, and his talents vast. His exterior was rough, but he was an advocate for what was right, unapologetically. His fitness passion included running to help raise awareness and funds for multiple charities. He lost his life December 11, 2020.
Never forgotten.
