                DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO RUN IT TO THE SUMMIT!??!

 

1. Single Summit Challenge: Run, walk, hike, or crawl from the bottom of Song Mountain Resort ski peak to the summit where the finish line awaits you. The distance from the base to the summit is .55 miles with 594 feet of elevation gain. 

 

                 OR



2. Double Summit Challenge:  Run, walk, hike, or crawl from the bottom of Song Mountain Resort ski peak to the summit, run back down the hill, and up to the summit again where the finish line awaits you.  The distance from the base to the summit, back to the base, and up to the summit is 1.65 miles with 1,188 feet of elevation gain. 

 

All events include:

  • Multiple chances to run it to the summit

  • Leone Timing chip timing and day of results

  • Well marked courses

  • Aerial footage/photography provided by Highpoint Aerial

  • Beautiful views

  • Steep ascents and descents for all distances

  • A pair of Knockaround Sunglasses!

 

Start Time: The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. for the single summit and 9:00 a.m. for the double summit. 


Covid Regulations:  CDC regulations will be monitored throughout the months and all regulations will be in place.  If participants are in a situation on the trails where a minimum of 6 feet width is not possible, a way to lower risk can be achieved by carrying face coverings, verbally announcing that they approaching, and preparing to pass.  Both runners should put their face coverings on for this passing procedure then they can remove them when completed.


Parking: There will be parking in the resort parking lot at Song Mountain Resort.  


Packet Pick-Up:  ****TBD: Packet pick-up will be announced a few weeks prior to the race date.*******

 

Hiking/Running Poles:  Poles are allowed for both events.


Headphones:  Headphones are not permitted.

 

NO Aid Stations: This is a carry your own water and nutrition event.  There will not be any aid stations provided; however, all athletes are required to carry hydration with them while on the course.  *Carry in, carry out.  No trace left behind!*


Bathroom Facilities: Song Mountain Resort has allowed us to use their facilities.  Please practice social distancing and proper CDC guidelines.​​


Awards: Awards will be given to the first male and female finisher of each event.

Swag: Each registrant will receive a pair of SWEET rubberized sunglasses.


Photographer: T Wellott Photography will be taking photos on the ground and aerial footage/photography will be provided by Highpoint Aerial.


Post Race Restaurant: Song Mountain will have their restaurant "The Moguls Bar and Grill Restaurant" open at 10 a.m.!  Enjoy a beverage and/or some food after you summit...you deserve it!

 

***Considerations before registering: This is a steep ski trail, please wear the appropriate footwear and note that there is potential for injury. Lifts are not working and you will need to walk down from the summit at the end of the race. When you register for the event you agree to release Miles & Macros, LLC, Run it to the Summit, Song Mountain, and all of it's affiliates of any liability.***
