Event Description

If you haven’t heard of our little “school on the hill,” let us introduce ourselves.  We have an amazing, non-profit preschool program for children ages 3-5 years old living in Andover and the surrounding area.  As you can imagine our days are filled with excitement, exploration, observations, and experimentation!  It takes an awful lot of learning tools and supplies to keep up with our preschoolers and that is where we hope to have you become a part of our mission to develop our children’s love for learning!
            
Typically we host our Annual Creepy Crawl 5k and Scarecrow Sprint in the fall, but with the challenges of COVID this year we had to put in person fundraisers on hold.  This year we are hosting our first spring 5k. Our theme this year will be Preschool Prom.

We will have a 5K walk/run, a 1 mile run for kids ages 6 to 10, and a fun run for kids ages 5 and under.

We ask that you arrive at 9:00 A.M. to pick up your packets that will contain your bib and t-shirt.  When you pick up your packet you will be given a starting time, so you will know when you will be able to begin your race.  If you would like to run with a specific group of people let us know when you arrive to pick up your packet, so we can provide you with the same starting time or a starting time close together.

Race day will begin with the kids fun run, followed by the children's one mile race, and then the 5K.

There will be activities for the kids to participate in after they have completed the 1 mile race and fun run.

We would like to encourage racers to dress up in fun costumes for the race.  We plan on awarding prizes for best costumes.  The winners of the races will be crowned Prom King and Queen.

Our COVID protocols for race day are as follows:

• Anyone over the age of 5 will be required to wear a mask.
• When racers are at the starting line preparing for their race they may remove their mask, and they are not required to wear one while running.  Once the race is over racers will once again need to put on their mask.
• We will be spacing racers out every 10 seconds to help create space in the race.  Unless you notify us at packet pick up you are a part of a specific group that would like to run either together.
