Event Description
La Crosse Virtual Charity Challenge
A main goal of the annual La Crosse Marathon (formerly known as the Grandad Half Marathon) is to donate our profits back to various non-profits in our area. Even though we cannot gather in person this year, we still want to make an impact to fund these non-profits this year. The non-profits that our race benefits each year are:
River City Running Club (the host of the La Crosse Marathon)
Here are the simple rules of our virtual challenges:
1. Choose a race challenge and/or non-profit.
2. Register for that challenge
3. Participate in that challenge
4. Submit results and receive a t-shirt for your hard work (Thank you Festival Foods for sponsoring our participant t-shirts!) (NO MEDALS WILL BE GIVEN)
5. Know that your funds went to help that specific charity/non-profit
Added Bonus: Participate in more than one challenge and/or donate additional funds to a non-profit of your choice through our donation platform.
We are keeping it very simple this year with the goal of keeping people active and raising money for our community. We will give sample routes for you to explore our beautiful area, however, these challenges can be done anywhere.
