Event Description

Come join us for a 5k Run or 5k Walk on 9/11 at 8:00am on Downtown Owosso's Rivertrail to support the Shiawasse County Chapter of Families Against Narcotics (FAN).  FAN supports recovery from drugs and alcohol and provides education for parents and students in Shiawassee County to avoid addictions and human trafficking. FAN suppports the ANGEL Program with MSRP, and the Owosso Police Department, Prevention Network with the 'Hidden in Plain Sight Trailer', the DEFY (Drug Education for Youth) Program and 'Human Trafficking Program' with the Shiawassee County Sheriff's Department.  

This 9/11 we will also acknowledge our first responders with '9/11 We Remember' on our rash guard long sleeve shirts.  Winner Medals will be givien to the top 3 places in age groups.  All participants will receive a medal, and long sleeve rash guard shirts will be available to pre-registrants that order one for a total cost for race and shirt of $40.00.  Shirts are available in XS-XXL sizes.  People may enter to run/walk without a shirt for $25.00.  People may also choose to order a shirt for $15.00 each.

Packet pickup will begin at 8:00 AM on race day morning. 

Come and run in Owosso on 9/11 at 9am, where the Saturday Farmer's Market will be in full swing selling fall harvests and sweet treats.  ArtWalk will also be happening in downtown Owosso on 9/11 beginning at 11am.
