Event Description
The Millstadt Police Department will be holding our 10th Annual "D.A.R.E. to Run for BackStoppers" 5K, 10K, & 1/2 mile kids fun run at the Village of Millstadt Park on Saturday, Novemer 6th, starting at 9:00 a.m. Our event was cancelled last year due to COVID, so we are looking forward to this year's event! The event will benefit BackStoppers and the police department's local youth programs. We have had a GREAT turnout years past from the greater St. Louis area. We will have long-sleeve performance t-shirts and custom awards (please register by October 15th to gurantee shirt size). All kids who participate in the fun run will receive a participation medal. Our event also features a 1st Responder Division (top 3 active police officers, firefighters or EMT). Top 3 male & female finishers of both the 5K & 10K receive plaques. The top three finishers in each age division receive medals. Age groups for male & female: 13 & Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 - 69, 70 & Up. A “Virtual Runner” option is available for those who do not care to participate or are unable to, but still want to support the cause. Early packet available at Millstadt Village Hall, 111 W. Day of Event
8:00 - Day of registration and day of packet pickup
8:45 - Course briefting, National Anthem, etc...
9:00 - 5K/10K race starts.
10:00 - Kids 1/2 mile fun run begins.
5K & 10K are out and back routes. 5K route is fairly flat with a hill near the turn-a-round. The 10K route is also mainly flat.
Parking: There is ample parking in the park's parking lot, as well as surrounding side streets. There is no parking on North Jefferson Street.
