We’re taking the Jog-A-Thon virtual this year in a week-long community fundraising event!
Get your kids moving and log their miles on this website to help move Max McKinley 2,836 miles to the White House in Washington D.C.! If every student logs at least 5.25 miles between May 21 and 27, Max will reach his goal of seeing our nation’s capital! Can we do it? Yes we can!
Registration is $12 per student and includes a kid-size Jog-A-Thon 2021 t-shirt! Adults may also purchase a t-shirt for an additional $10 each. The deadline to register and get a t-shirt is Thursday, May 13.* You will not be able to order a t-shirt after May 13, but you may still register for and participate in the event.
Wear your t-shirt while you walk, jog, run, hike, etc., take photos, post them on Instagram, and tag “mckinleybsd” to share photos with your fellow Bulldogs! Also send your photos to our yearbook organizer, Jen Scopazzi (jen293114@gmail.com), for a chance to be featured in our yearbook! Let’s see our Bulldogs all over town!
This year’s Jog-A-Thon is a fundraiser, so please consider donating to the McKinley PTA by clicking the "Donate" button when you register or log your miles. Donating is completely optional and can be whatever amount you choose. Want to encourage your kids to do more miles? Consider getting a “sponsor,” such as yourself or a grandparent or other family member, to donate a certain number of dollars per mile completed. Rack up those miles by encouraging a healthy competition between friends! And of course, let’s get Max McKinley to Washington D.C.!
Meet team and individual milestones to earn Badges! Join your classroom team and earn a badge for each mile completed and when you reach 5.25 miles! Earn team badges when your class has completed 25, 75, and 125 team miles.
A coveted Jog-A-Thon Trophy will be awarded to the class in each grade group (K/1, 2/3, & 4/5) that logs the most miles!

* We recognize that this is a hard time for many families. If your family is experiencing financial hardship that would discourage you or your children from participating in this event, please contact the office or your teacher. We need as many Bulldogs as possible to participate to reach our schoolwide goal to move Max across the nation!
