What the DUCK!!! Are you ready for the most “quacky” race you have ever participated in? Find your inner ducky and get to Ormond Beach for the Rubber Ducky River Run! This 5K run is for every one of every skill level.
Dress up or come ready to win but whatever you do come ready to have some ducky fun! We have a beautiful course along the river for runners and the best after party around!
Every runner gets a free Rubber Ducky that they can decorate and keep or put into the Rubber Duck Race down in the River for a chance to have your duck win the ultimate prize! Participants 21 and up will also receive a cold beer on us!! You don’t want to miss out on all the ducking fun at the Rubber Ducky River Run!
The Rubber Ducky River Run is part of the Ormond Beach Riverfest Seafood Festival with plenty of activities for everyone! The festival features live music, Seafood Sampling, arts and crafts stations, tons of fun and your duck can be put in the rubber duck race! It all takes place on Sunday, November 19th!

When and where does the race take place?
Sunday, November 19th, 2017. The race course begins at Fortunato Park on beachside in Ormond Beach (across from the Casements). Registration opens at 8am. The Rubber Ducky River Run will begin promptly at 9:00am. TV coverage may affect the start time of the race by a few minutes if a live cut-away of the start is scheduled.
How long is the course?
The 5K is 3.2 miles
Is there a map of the Courses?
Turn By Turn Instructions for the 5K are as follows:
Start in Fortunato Park
Go straight onto Hotel Street
Turn Right on John Anderson Drive
Turn Right on Royal Palm
Turn Left on N Halifax Drive
Left on Ocean Terrace W
Right onto John Anderson Drive
Right into the Fortunato Park and Run under the bridge and finish on Riverside Drive in front of the Casements!
How will I be timed?
The race uses an electronic timing system that records race time and place via a transponder chip that will be given out at registration. Each individual competing in the 5K is required to use the race chip. Official times will not be recorded without a chip. There will be a clock at the finish line to view your time.
When and where do I pick up my registration materials?
Registration starts at 8am for all participants – pre-registered, walk-up, voucher – Pre-registered runners have a separate registration station that is further split into three lines based on the first letter of the runner’s last name. Walk-Up and voucher holders have their own registration station.
How will I receive my results?
Official results are posted for the top runners in each category on race day, race staff has all results for on-site inquiries and results are posted on the race website.
Can I use my own race chip or tag rather than utilizing the one that is provided?
No, all participants receive a personal race bib with chip attached to it.
Who gets a T-shirt?
The first 300 participants to pre-register will receive a free race t-shirt. All participants have an option to purchase a shirt through the registration process. Shirts are not included with race registration.
What if I need help along the way?
Qualified emergency medical professionals are available to provide assistance at the start/finish lines.
Can I participate in the event with my dog?
Sorry, as much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets on the course.
Can I participate with a stroller?
Yes, nurturing future generations of runners is a priority and demonstrating healthy lifestyles to our kids is special. Please start in the designated section for stroller runners!
What do I do with my personal items while I’m running?
You can leave your items at a Gear Tent drop-off station, located near the start line. Look for the “Gear Tent” sign near the registration booth.
Should I bring my own water?
No. Our water stations are available on the course in various strategic locations!
How do I register?
You may register online (preferred method). Go to RunSignUp.com. You can also text “rubberduck” to 40691 on your smart phone and the registration link with be texted to your phone. In-person registration is available at the Fortunato Park, Ormond Beach Fl. starting at 8:00am. Both cash and checks are acceptable.

I will be out of town on race day and not able to participate. Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration. As the race brochure states, we are unable to issue refunds. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks.
Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.
What will be provided after the race?
The Awards Ceremony will take place at The Ormond Beach Riverfest Seafood Festival across Granada in the Rockefeller Gardens on the Main Stage. There will be bottled water for each participant as well as they come to the awards area!
Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We have a strict NO TRANSFER policy.
