Event Description
The First Annual 5K for Tyler takes place on the peaceful Cross Country course at Paxton Center School on Sunday, May 22, 2022, 11 am. Join us and walk or run to remember our Tyler Trudell, #2. Beginning in Tyler's favorite place, the course starts with a loop around his baseball field, winds down the acces road, over the foot bridge at Illig Pond and through our beautiful trails to an exciting finish line!
- Event t-shirt is guaranteed with online pre-registration through 5/10/2022.
- Same-day registration opens 9:30 am on race day.
- Walk or Run the event!
- Officially timed by Central Mass Striders!
- Activities for the whole family!
Proceeds go to Tyler's Teammates, the newly created program in partnership with the Trudell family and the WooSox. Honoring Tyler’s love of baseball, the program will provide opportunity, equipment and registration to youth baseball players in the area who may not otherwise have the funds to participate in the sport Tyler loved so much.

Event details and schedule
9:30 am: Pre-registation check-in/ bib pickup and Same-Day Registration opens.
10:45 am: Opening Ceremony.
11:00 am: Runners start.
11:05 am: Walkers start.
11-12:30 pm: Enjoy activities, cheer on runners and walkers, have fun!
1:00 pm: Event ends.
Things to know...
- Post-race refreshments for runners and walkers provided by local businesses.
- Water stop on the course.
- Wear closed-toed shoes (no sandals or slides).
