Event Description

It may be our 6th year hosting Hops for Hope 5K but our 1st year adding our BrewFest! We are excited for this addition post 5K.  All our beer loving supporters will get a chance to try even more beer plus many more fun additions. Make sure to purchase a Combo Pack so you can enjoy the 5K first then attend the BrewFest for a much deserved beer (or 18 samples!)

As a reminder for those new here, Hops for Hope 5K is a twist on the traditional 5K! Awarded Top 100 Races in America by BibRave, our 5K is timed and the course is certified, whether you are a serious runner or walker who loves beer, this event is for you. Not into beer? No problem! Save on registration and skip the beer!

The 5K will start at the beautiful Mount Saint Mary Park in St. Charles and head towards Geneva on the scenic path through Wheeler Park and ends back at Mount Saint Mary Park for the BrewFest!

THAT'S A WEIRD TWIST?! We think you mean delicious and fun! Throughout the 5K there will be 6 Beer Stops featuring local craft breweries handing out 3-ounce beer samples to runners.

Post 5K will be the BrewFest! You will get 18 samples of beer while listening to a live band with local restaurants, raffles and our Adaptive Bike Giveaway Presentation (the reason we are all at the event!)

Hops for Hope 5K & BrewFest is a fundraiser for Project Mobility, a is a local nonprofit that provides the freedom of mobility to children, adults, and wounded soldiers with disabilities through adaptive cycling. Due to the pandemic those with disabilities are in need more than ever with more families staying home and doing more outdoor/safe activities such as bike rides. It may sound like such a simple activity but to those with mobility challenges (along with the hefty price tag of an adaptive bike) it makes it nearly impossible for them to enjoy the freedom of mobility without our help.

Adaptive bikes provide life changing mobility, strength, self-esteem and the ultimate freedom for children, adults and veterans with disabilities. Cycling restores the possibilities to those who are often told by society that their life is about limitations.

Please consider joining us October 1st!

*All participants must be 21 years or older and show a valid ID day of the event

**No strollers or anyone under 21 years old will be allowed

***For those that have attended in the past the BrewFest replaces the Awards Ceremony. You must purchase a Combo Pack ticket to attend both.
