Run past the prestigious Gallo Center for the Arts, through beautiful College area neighborhoods and back to downtown Modesto. Wear your Jingle Bells, Santa garb or whatever suits your fancy and get in the spirit!
For those of you thinking PR, this is the course for you, with few turns and curves to rob you of precious seconds. For those out for a fun time seeing your friends and neighbors all dressed up for the holidays, grab your favorite Reindeer Antler headband and get out and join the fun. Stay downtown after your walk and grab a bite or drink at your favorite restaurant.

Kids Free Fun Run:
Informally known as the "Help Santa give the Grinch a heart" kids run. We need kids young and younger to help Santa save the holidays. Candy Canes and medals for all our little heroes 12 years and younger. Free pictures with Santa and the Grinch. All fun run participants will be eligible to attend the free holiday movie at the Brenden Theater following the run. The fun run will not be timed.
Kids Bicycle Drawing:
Bring one canned food item to the kids fun run and receive a ticket for the drawing of a FREE KIDS BICYCLE!! One male and one female winner will be chosen.
Bring a canned good or non perishable food item and win a great raffle prize. Raffle tickets are given out on a per item basis. One food item = one ticket. 10 items =10 tickets, to a maximum of 10 tickets per person.
Awards given to first place overal male and female, and to age group winners 3 deep.
5K starts at 8:30 am. Kids Fun Run starts at 9:45am
Race Packet Pickup:
Early bib pickup is available at the ShadowChase office on the corner of 11th and M Streets (1325 11th St) in Modesto on Dec. 9th from 12 noon untill 6:00 pm. Race day bib pickup from 7:am until 8:am
8 and under, 9 to 12, 13 to 19, and 5 year age groups thereafter until 80+ male and female

All 5K registrants will receive a tech shirt. Team Groups of 10 or more adults will receive a $5 discount off each group member's entry fee. 12and under not eligible for team entry.
Group registrations are now open for Private Teams with 10 or more members. To register a team, the Team Captains must sign up their team, assign the team name and enter a team password. This team password can be shared with team members who then sign up on their own using the team password. If a team fails to reach the 10 member minimum by 12/6, the team discount will be forfeited,and team members will be required to pay the non discounted entry fee, an additional $5
Proceeds benefit the Parks and Recreation Neighborhood Scholarship Program for children of low income families, seniors and disabled citizens as well as the Modesto Gospel Mission. All donated canned food items will go to the Modesto Gospel Mission Pantry.
