Event Description
Join us for The Red Hawk on Saturday June 17, 2023 at 9 am. The event is out and back along the Cedar River Trail. The flat and fast course runs along the scenic Cedar River and passes by rustic city scapes and an eagles nest. The event is chip timed and will feature a commemorative Red Hawk T-shirt and medals to all finishers. Get your registration in early so all registered runners can get an authentic medal and designer T-shirt. Age group winners will receive ribbons and there will be cash awards for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female winners in the 6k as well as a cash bonus for breaking course record 20:01 held by Danny Riley in 2022 for the 6k. The Red Hawk 10k will award $50 gift cards to the 1st male and female. This year we added the additional kid's race. Beat The Red Hawk and win a prize. The race will be 1/4 mile to the end of the tunnel and back. Beware of the trolls! Special kid's rate for this event. Finishing medal, Red Hawk T-shirt and red hot tamale included in entry fee.

The Red Hwak is the second of four in our series races. The event starts at Ron Regis Park Renton WA and runs along the Cedar River picking up views of rustic city scapes and an eagles nest. Look for the Red Hawks. The flat and fast course allows you to have a personal best. Come out and enjoy the Cedar River with your running friends on this first day of Summer. Enjoy festive music at the finish while enjoying your red hot tamale.
