Join USA Triathlon Certified Coach Brett Petersen for this USA Triathlon sanctioned training clinics:

Itinerary April 15 - Swim Clinic Only - At College of Saint Mary Pool.

Athletes Age 13-18
2:00-2:15 Introduction and overview
2:15-2:30 Drill Instruction
2:30-2:50 Technique Focused Swim Intervals
2:50-3:10 Open Water Swim Drills and Starts
3:10-3:15 Wrap Up

Athletes Age 7-12
3:15-3:30 Introduction and overview
3:30-3:45 Drill Instruction
3:45-4:05 Technique Focused Swim Intervals
4:05-4:25 Open Water Swim Drills and Starts
4:25-4:30 Wrap Up

Workshop will be coached to focus on learning proper drill technique and improve free style performance.

This clinic will incorporate open water/triathlon swim techniques and skills

Due to individual style of coaching, space is limited

Fee $10

When: Saturday April 15th. 2:00-3:15 p.m. for older athletes and 3:15-4:30 younger athletes

Itinerary April 22, 1pm to 3pm Run Clinic at Westview High School

Youth and Junior Run Technique Clinic

When: Saturday April 22nd: Ages 13-18 1-2 p.m., Ages 7-12 2:15-3 p.m.

We will work on the fundamentals of run technique to improve speed and decrease injury risk

About Coach Brett Petersen:

Coach Brett has been  involved in endurance racing since the mid 90s beginning with mountain biking, then to triathlons, and marathons. His coaching career began in 2003 with coaching triathletes, cyclists, runners and a Masters swimming club. His educational background includes a Bachelors of Science in psychology, graduate doctoral work in neurobiology and  pharmacology, and he has  a Masters of Science degree in Movement Sciences (combination of exercise physiology and kinesiology) from the University of Illinois. His coaching has included one on one training to work on swim stroke, bike handling/technique, and run gait analysis, as well as online coaching with athletes located around the world. Coach Brett works with athletes from the beginner (never before completed a race) to the professional triathlete from 5K through Ironman. Coach Brett has coached numerous teams including Northwestern University triathlon for 10 years as well as his youth and junior triathlon teams (his own as well as park district), including high performance youth and junior (draft legal) racing. He also worked as an International Triathlon Union (ITU) facilitator developing the sport and coaches around the globe, as well worked  with the USAT collegiate recruitment program. He is  also the head coach of a boys high school swim team in the Omaha Metro area.
