Title: "Walk for Horses and Trees: A Stroll Through Nature's Sanctuary"

Description:

Embrace the spirit of community and nature at the "Walk for Horses and Trees," a 3K walk through the scenic Huntington Central Park in Huntington Beach, California. This special event, scheduled for October 2024, is a unique opportunity to spend a morning walking with friends, neighbors, and nature in a one-of-a-kind sanctuary where humans and horses coexist in harmony.

Marking the 10th anniversary of the Free Rein Foundation, we celebrate their impactful work in rescuing horses and using them in Equine Assisted Therapy Programs to support teens facing stress, anxiety, and mental health issues. This walk takes you around their serene pasture in the Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center, a safe haven for a herd of rescued horses and a place where healing interactions unfold.

Simultaneously, we honor the HB Tree Society's dedicated efforts in partnership with CityPark crews to enrich our local environment. As you stroll through the park, breathe in the fresh ocean breezes and marvel at the HB Urban Forest's increasingly lush foliage. The walk leads you through a vibrant tapestry of trees and native flowering plants, a testament to the society's commitment to greening our city.

This journey is not just about walking; it's about discovering. Observe the wildlife and birds that have returned to thrive in these new habitats, adding to the park's natural charm. Celebrate the 50th year of the Huntington Central Park and the profound impact of community-driven conservation.

The "Walk for Horses and Trees" is an invitation to connect with nature, support vital community causes, and enjoy a morning filled with the beauty of the outdoors. All are welcome to join this inspiring walk, a testament to the power of volunteerism and the enduring bond between people, animals, and the environment. Walk with us, and be part of a celebration that steps towards a greener, more compassionate world.
