Event Description

Sweat for Clarkypups is thought up as a way to help animals in need while creating a stronger health and fitness family not only at Clarkys Body Shop, but on the Central Coast. 

Our Objective is to be able to gift the funds to a family who has animal medical expenses that they are not able to cover. We have 5 pups in our family. With such a family, problems can surface. In the past couple of months medical bills have been steadily coming in. Between a cancer scare with Max, Bonnie's growing age, and Sammie's addiction to sniffing foxtails the past couple months have added up. Our 2 youngest sisters, Berry and Pepper, have been struggling with kidny issues for the last 3 years. 

When Berry was around 18 months we had noticed that she had little bumps on her head, thinking they were bug bites we held off for a week. Since the bites did not go away we took her into El Camino Vet to have her checked out. Come to find out she has a rare form of Kidney Disease. With that heartbreaking news we have had her on a special diet and supplements to prolong the inevitable. 

So this summer we found a couple bumps on Pepper, took her in and come to find out she has a severely deformed kidney that is on its way to failure. We are waiting on the results of the other kidney to find out if surgery is needed.

With all that on the horizon and current debts, this first go round of fundraising will be going towards @clarkypups. 

This first Event is going to be a 5k with a Clarkys twist. More Information to come!
