Event Description
Join us for the Shenandoah 5K for Michigan Medicine, hosted by the Shenandoah Young Adults Committee in support of cancer research and patient care via The University of Michigan's Rogel Cancer Center Patient and Family Support Services Program. Donations to the organization alleviate many of the burdens cancer places on patients and their families by helping to fund cancer specialists in psychology, social work, art therapy, nutrition, finance, and other areas. Whether you're running for a personal record or walking in honor of a loved one, every step counts.
Each ticket includes 5K entry, a race t-shirt, and access to post-race food and refreshments. Guests are more than welcome to donate, but not participate in the main walking event.
All donations beyond the required minimum are more than welcome and appreciated.
The event kicks off at 9:00 AM, and will likely run for about 5 hours with runners and walkers starting in waves grouped by age. We suggest each participant arrive 20 minutes before the start time.
Let's move with purpose-supporting the many who suffer each and every day from this disease.
We can't wait to see you there!
A significant portion of each ticket goes directly to supporting cancer research and patient care at Michigan Medicine. The remainder help over event costs such as T-shirts and refreshments
