Event Description
AGE GROUP / OPEN DIVISION
This race is designed to be approachable, fun, and a great introduction to triathlon. The shorter distances make it perfect for first-timers while still offering a fast, competitive course for more experienced athletes. Racers will be seeded by their swim and run times to ensure smooth flow in the pool and on the course.
After completing a 300m swim, athletes will head to transition and begin the bike leg: 3 laps of a spectator-friendly course that keeps the energy high and the action close. The race finishes with a run on a safe, closed course that allows athletes to push themselves while enjoying the support of the crowd.
The focus here is on participation and fun—whether this is your first triathlon or your 50th, you’ll leave with a smile, new friends, and maybe a new personal best.
COLLEGIATE DIVISION
Unlike more traditional high-stakes races, this one emphasizes participation and enjoyment, offering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The low-stakes nature of the race encourages beginners and seasoned racers alike to compete without the pressure of intense competition, making it an excellent opportunity for newcomers to get a taste of draft-legal racing. Racers are organized into small waves, which helps manage the flow of the event and ensures that everyone gets ample opportunity to participate. The super sprint format which is shorter and more intense than our usual races, allows participants to race multiple times throughout the morning. This repetition not only adds to the fun but also provides racers with the chance to improve their performance with each successive attempt.
