Event Description

Lace up and hit the trail for a cause that hits close to home for every runner in Ocala! The Surface the Future 5k is a community fundraiser dedicated to improving and surfacing local tracks so athletes of all ages and abilities have safe, quality surfaces to train and compete on.

Starting and finishing at the Baseline Trail Head, this out-and-back course takes runners through one of Ocala's most scenic trail areas. Whether you're chasing a PR or just out for a fun morning with fellow runners, every step you take helps pave the way — literally — for better running surfaces across our community.

All proceeds go directly toward track surfacing projects right here in Ocala. You don't have to be fast. You just have to show up.
