Event Description

RUMBLE IN THE RANCHLANDS

Mariposa, CA - Sunday, April 8th

Remote river valleys and long, long dirt downhills take you back into the Sierra foothills where the Yosemite River spills out from Yosemite National Park. We worm our way deep, deep into the ranchlands of Mariposa and beyond. Big vistas and dirt roads all day long will bring you back to your country roots. Gravel, decomposed granite and cows galore can be yours on this 70-mile adventure through the backcountry. Make a weekend out of it and hit up Yosemite or the Sierras, since you’re already there. Post ride BBQ buffet and lots of good times are included in your entry.

FAQs:

Where is the start/finish location?

Start/finish is at Sierra Foothill Charter School, 4952 School House Rd, Catheys Valley, CA 95306 https://goo.gl/maps/4fu63qBi5w92. Podium party and post-ride buffet are less than a mile down the road.

The ride starts at 8 am. Rider check-in is from 7 am.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

YES! But you'll have to email us (registration@superproracing.com) more than 3 days (72hrs) in advance of the ride start, and all transfers are subject to a $10 fee.

Due to the nature of this event, we cannot offer refunds or last-minute (after the 72hr cutoff) requests to transfer your registration to another of our fine adventure offerings. We can accommodate transfers to another rider (to ride this event) right up to the ride start, though!

What's included?

First and foremost, you'll benefit from Murphy Mack's twisted genius for finding routes guaranteed to leave you dumbstruck and cursing in equal measure. Our dedicated team of incredible volunteers will keep you fed and hydrated at superbly-stocked aid stations at regular intervals along the route. A pro mechanic and roving medic will be out on course with you, and we provide an emergency SAG vehicle (for bona fide emergencies only).

And of course, a YUGE post-race buffet and podium party is part of the SuperPro Gravel Gauntlet experience. So many noms. Icy cold beverages. Stuff your face then come back for more.

Afterparty, you say?

You'll finish the ride back where you started, then get cleaned up and then hop back on your bike to head to McCay Hall (Catheys Valley Park) 1.4miles up the road. Please ride your bike there - parking is limited and we need to make sure there's enough for public park users.

Afterparty location is 2820 California 140, Catheys Valley, CA 95306 https://goo.gl/maps/Qa6Rk3tP7b22

What's the route? When will you post it?

Standard route: ~80 miles, ~7,000ft. Likely to look similar to last year’s route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/6634487

We will send you the final course link 24-48hrs ahead of time to account for any route surprises we encounter while marking the course. GPS devices highly encouraged. Please plan accordingly.

Will you have any super cool merchandise so people who meet me know what a badass I am?

YES! In years past we have done a limited run of t-shirts and jackets, and are looking into continuing this fine tradition. Bring cash. Cash is king.

Is there day-of registration?

Yes! Last-minute online signups end at midnight the night before. Day-of registration at the start is $110 cash or check.

What are the other mixed terrain rides on the SuperPro calendar this year?

  • Panoche Desert Hills (Mendota) - March 25th

  • Spring Classic (location tbd) - May 12th
