6th Annual Pirate Run 5K/10K (w/Kids' Fun Run at 8:30 am)

The Brookview Pirate Run 5K/10K course loops from the Brookview School campus through the beautiful Benton Township River Park along the St. Joseph River. Ye might even spy a pirate or two... argh matey!

For 3 years, Brookview Montessori School held an annual 5K in April. Looking for a change in 2014, the event was moved to September with the addition of a Pirate theme and a 10K run option. Both kids and adults alike get into the fun and don pirate costumes! Participants can celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day with the option to run or walk the 5K distance. Runners may choose to complete two laps of the route for a 10K distance.

FEES:   15 and Over:     $25 through 9/8  
                                       $30 9/9 through Race Day    
             14 and under:    $15 through Race Day

Register by 9/8 to receive a PERSONALIZED Custom Race Bib!

Awards to Overall Female and Male finishers in 5K Run, 5K Walk, and 10K Run. Finisher medals to all participants.

Paid registration includes a short-sleeve Gildan Softstyle, semi-fitted, t-shirt in 100% ring-spun cotton. No charge for participants pushed or pulled in strollers, wheelchairs, wagons, etc.

This family-friendly event is open to adults and children of all ages. Kids pushed in strollers are free! Or kids can participate in a  Kids’ Fun Run at 8:30 am, before the timed events. Supervised play is also provided for kids during the race. The 5K/10K course loops from Brookview Montessori School through the beautiful Benton Township River Park along the St. Joseph River, then back up the hill and down Zollar Road to Somerleyton Road before returning back to cross the finish line in the school parking lot.

NOTE: This is a timed event with awards to Male and Female Overall and Age Group Winners in both the RUN and WALK Divisions. Participants registered for the WALK, must walk the entire time. If you plan to Walk AND Jog, please register for RUN.
