Event Description

Come out and have a great time at the 31st Annual Turkey Trot. There is a competitive 5K run and 2 mile fun walk. It is a flat fast course. The race is on the island jogging/walking/bicycling path and cuts through scenic Grand Island Park/Disk Golf area and Grand island Estates. There is a post race raffle and awards ceremony. All proceeds benefit the Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund. Commemorating t-shirts will be given to the first 50 entrants.

Event details and schedule

31st Annual Havasu Turkey Trot will be held on Saturday November 23 at 9 AM starting at the island Ballfield. The 5 K race starts by the Water Treatment Plant  and continues on the Island walking/jogging/bicycling path. The race cutss through Grand Island Park/Disc golf area and grand island estates . The race finishes by the start. Awards  will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each division. The first 50 applicants who register for the race will receive a participation medal. The 1st male and female finishers will also receive a turkey dinner. There is also a non-competitive 2 mile fun walk. A post race raffle will be held and a raffle ticket will be included with each registration. All proceeds will benefit the Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund. Day of the race registration begins at 7:30 AM. The 5K race will start at 9 AM and the 2 mile fun walk will start immediately after the run.
