Welcome to the 2nd Annual Will Frederick Memorial 5K Run For The Kids
Will's family and friends have fond memories of Will's smile and laughter. He loved life and loved investing himself in the children and students of the York community. We could think of no better way to honor Will's life and to extend his legacy than to create a 5K event for the sole purpose of continuing Will's investment in the lives of young people. The first annual Will Frederick 5K raised over $10,000 that was used to send nearly 40 students to various camps during 2019. The remaining funds are being used to set up a weekly afterschool program in the York Community.
WILL’S STORY
At 23 years old, Will Frederick had a lot of life to live. Recently married to Hannah Crews, Will was looking forward to having a family of his own but in the meantime, Will was pouring himself into children and students in the York area. Will unexpectedly passed away in August 2018 following complications from surgery. All proceeds from the Will Frederick Memorial 5K event will be used to continue Will’s legacy of investing in children and students.
