Event Description

Enjoy an adventurous, evening trail run/walk with friends and family starting at Cowen Park and finishing in Ravenna Park at the entrance to Candy Cane Lane - Seattle's most historic and famous holiday light neighborhood display!

At packet pickup you'll get a winter beanie, bibs, pins and an LED headlamp. Through the 5K and 1 Mile course, watch for glowing orange traffic cones to guide you and light up the trails and reflective cones that mark the course with your own headlamp or the included headlamp!

At the finish line you'll get hot chocolate, an array of flavored popcorn, an LED light up finisher medal (if signing up for the 5K), and candy canes, for a stroll down Candy Cane Lane like never before!

The finisher medal has LED lights that adorn the roofs of the tudor home design for the 5K event! You'll no doubt enjoy flashing that medal bling for all to see in Candy Cane Lane! 1.6K runners/walkers receive a non-LED light finisher medal.

Dress up in Christmas costumes/attire or reflective running gear, or both!!

FAQ:

Q: Is this race chip timed? A: Yes, professionally chip timed by Rainier Timing with live results kiosks and official results posted here on www.candycanelanerun.com.

Q: Are strollers allowed? A: Yes, we love youngsters! Please start near the back and make sure wheels are suited for long sections of hard packed dirt trail. Make sure the hand brakes are in good working order as the first 1.1 miles is a 150 ft elevation drop through a ravine and you may be going faster than you're used to in the dark!

Q: Are dogs allowed? A: Yes, we love dogs! Just make sure you use a fixed leash length, not the retractable leash type. And please start near the back!
