THIS ISN'T YOUR STANDARD 5K, IT'S A 5K BUILT ON LOVE...
On June 30th of this year, Diego, at the mere age of 16 was involved in a tragic drowning. While he battled bravely for almost a week he was called upon to become one of God's angels. This is a story of heartbreak but also one of exceeding love for others. Diego's parents Martin and Ana decided to gift Diego's organs saving numerous lives and families. This 5K event is about Organ Awareness and Organ Donation which is the legacy of our hero Diego and his parents.  The full Mission of Love and charity information is detailed below.

THE COURSE:
Journey through John Prince Park's beautiful 5K Course overlooking the water and natural preserves of one of Palm Beach County's nicest parks.

EARLY PACKET PICKUP:
Early packet pickup will be at Badass Running Company's headquarters at 3100 S Federal Highway, Suite E Delray Beach FL 33483 
January 30 - 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM
(You may pick up anyone's packet for them as long as you have their photo ID on your phone)

RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP:
Race day pickup will be at John Prince Park 2700 6th Ave S, Lake Worth, FL 33461
6:45 AM to 7:30 AM (We encourage early Packet Pickup as on race day packet pickup will close promptly at 7:30 AM)

REMINDERS:

• Open to all age groups, consent for those under 18 will be required.

• Race will take place rain or shine.

• Each runner must enter individually.

• Each participant must sign a waiver.

• Refunds are not available for any reason.

• Race Registrations can be transferred up until 7 days before the event.

The Complete Mission of Love

Diego will forever be in our hearts because of his passion, spontaneity and bravery.
He touched so many lives in our community that we will honor his legacy by bringing
awareness to organ donation, saving lives and families!

On June 30th, Diego, age 16, was involved in a tragic drowning, he battled for nearly a
week at St. Mary’s Children’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit before answering God’s
call and becoming one of his angels. While at the hospital, it came to us, make a
positive from this devastating nightmare.

With the assistance of Life Alliance organ recovery agency we spoke to the mother
a young girl who received a donor gift about five years ago. After hearing the gift
not only saved the young girl, but an entire family it solidified our organ donation
decision. Although we weren’t as fortunate, we were able to answer the prayers of others.

Our brave decision to gift Diego’s organs, eyes & tissues to families in need of
these life-saving gifts made Diego, forever a superhero. And for us, our mission
became inspiring others as to the importance of becoming an organ donor...
save a life, save a family!

At least 3 people received life-saving organs, including his passionate heart and
both kidneys. His beautiful blue eyes as well as tissues helped many others.
