Niantic Bay Triathlon and AquaBike

McCook Beach Park, Niantic, CT

Start Time: 7:30 am

A flat, sprint distance race throughout scenic shoreline communities of Niantic and East Lyme, the Niantic Bay Triathlon is a great race for beginner or experienced triathletes.

Swim a 1/2 mile in the calm of Niantic Bay without waves or strong currents. Bike a 12-mile loop through East Lyme with water views and long straightaways along flat, shaded roads. Run 3.2 miles along the oceanfront area lined with cheering spectators before a spectacular beach finish.

Triathlon relay teams of two or three athletes are welcome. Niantic Bay Triathlon also offers an Aquabike race option. All participants receive a custom short sleeve tech shirt, an awesome finisher’s medal and a post-race beach party. Take a refreshing dip in the bay and then enjoy fresh fruit, delicious freshly baked bread with spreads, yogurt, seasonal specialties and a visit to our own ice cream truck.
