Event Description

Join us for the seventh annual WYLD in the WOODS 5K Trail Run at the Grandview Family YMCA in Millbrook.  What sets us apart? Free childcare is provided for participating runners; run or walk kid-free!  

This challenging 5K is a true trail run and will have uneven terrain (rocks, roots, and sand) and will feature beautiful fields and lakes through Grandview's wooded areas.  This run is for all fitness levels.

Wear a costume to be entered into the WyLD Costume Contest.  

All proceeds benefit the YMCA Annual Campaign and our mobile feeding program, the "Brown Bag Bus".  

New this year, the WyLD in the WOODS 5K Trail Run is part of a race series called the YMCA 5K River Rgion Challenge hosted by the YMCA of Greater Montgomery.  Other races in the series include:

-2020 Strides for Kids YMCA 5K Dash Virtual Race on 04/18/2020 (registration available on Active.com)

-Candy Cane 5K hosted by the Wetumpka YMCA on 12/12/2020

Participants who register for all three events will be awarded a special prize on the Candy Cane race day.

The 5K course will be well marked with one water station. Parking is available on the Grandview YMCA campus (parking attendants will direct traffic on race day).  

Race Bags may be picked up Friday October 30, 2020 between 4:30-6:30pm in the lobby of the Main Building at Grandview OR the morning of the race.
