Event Description

Finish up the Thanksgiving weekend and go into the holiday season on the right foot with a 3.1 mile run or walk around the backstreets of Newton, Illinois while benefiting the only animal rescue in Jasper County.  The race will start and end at the historic square. See the holiday display on the courthouse lawn and be sure to check out the holiday open houses at the stores on the square after the race.

Be sure to sign the kids up for the 1 mile Fun Run. 

All participants will get a personalized bib, T-shirt and finisher's medal if signed up by November 15th. This race will be chipped and timed. 

Race Fee is $25 in ADVANCE and $30 on RACE DAY. 

Prizes given for overall male and female and top finishers in age groups. 

Register before November 15 to guarantee a t-shirt and medal– Registrations received after November 15 will receive shirts and medals on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last. 

Race packets will be handed out starting at 7 am the day of the race. 

We encourage participants to bring their own water. Masks are expected during check-in, but are not expected during the actual race.  We do recommend keeping them on you and make sure to maintain 6 ft of social distancing whenever possible.

Directions for Parking and Race- Registration will be close to the start of the race, located around 204 W Washington St., Newton, Il. Parking will be located in the parking lot in back of this building. 

If you would like to complete the Virtual 5K instead, a shirt and finisher’s medal will be mailed to you!
