Now in its 13th year, the Allen ISD Eagle Run hosted by the Foundation For Allen Schools has become an annual community tradition. The race benefits the Foundation, and all proceeds directly fund classroom grants, teacher and student scholarships, Allen PTA programs and campus projects.
The 2021 event involves your choice of a (1) Virtual 1 mile fun run/walk, (2) a Virtual 5K or (3) a Sleep in registration. You will have the choice to walk around your neighborhood with family and friends or you can come walk a course we've put together on the RaceJoy AP. The course will have some great photo ops along the way too! The 2021 course will start at the Allen High School tennis courts. You can complete your fun run/walk or 5K anytime between Saturday, February 27, 2021 and March 3, 2021. You can also upload your time through the RaceJoy AP and will still qualify for the 5K finisher medals!
It's going to be an event the whole family will enjoy, and you can feel good knowing that your participation has a direct impact on students and teachers in all Allen ISD Schools!
October 2020- After consulting with AISD Administration, our Board of Directors and the race planning team and committees the difficult decision was made to have the 13th Annual Allen ISD Eagle Run be a fully virtual event. We are in the process of making the necessary changes but we can still promise you the fun and community involvement that our race has been known for will still be the focus. Registration will open in early November and we are planning some fun new things for 2021! IN ALLEN ISD WE CAN DO VIRTUALLY ANYTHING!!!
July 2020- We are currently planning to host the 13th Annual Eagle Run in person on February 27th 2021. We want to still offer our race participants the same options we have in the past, the 5K, 1 Mile Fun Run, or a sleep-in option, however knowing that our school district will be offering virtual learning this Fall we will be adding the choice to participate in a virtual race for 2021. We will continue to monitor things and if needed would move the race to 100% virtual. The event itself will follow all state and local mandates, and based on recommendations from local health officials and our school district we may have to make the race 100% virtual. That call will be made sometime in mid February 2021 and will be posted on our website and social media accounts.
