North Port, Florida  -   May 04, 2019  -  The Shoppes at Price Crossing.

My Favorite Race Events is proud to announce that Publix will be presenting the 4th annual Publix Family Fun Day 5k/10k.      

 

We are also proud to announce that Christian Brothers Automotive will once again be hosting the event at their beautiful facility at The Shoppes at Price Crossing in North Port.     It's going to be an amazing morning featuring a Star Wars themed 10K and a 5K timed road course all to support the Florida Compassion Foundation.    Race Directors Tracy and Kim Hussey and everyone at "My Favorite Race Events, LLC, are making this a great day for the entire family.  

 

Dress as your favorite character from anywhere in the Galaxy.

 

Fun and games for the kids of all ages, including special awards for the best costumes!   We are also bringing back the inflatables to keep the kids entertained while mom and dad eat, drink and enjoy time with friends at the After Party.

(remember you still need to be able to run in your costume)

We also have an awesome surprise we will drop on you later in the year!

 

Age group awards go 3 deep.    First, Second and Third place medals will be awarded.

Age group, Masters and Overall Winners will each receive a

Light Saber!

 

Chair Check!

We are also going to set up a free chair check!     What's a chair check?    It's like a bag check except you can bring a lawn chair and we will check it for you during your race.   Then you can sit down and relax while you eat a cheeseburger, munch on some hot fries and down a couple of cold ones!

Get reimbursed up to 100% for an additional $8.99 if you can’t attend this event for a number of reasons, including covered injury, illness, traffic accidents, and more.

All 10K runners will receive a beautiful 3" Custom Finishers Medal and a great a very unique themed based race shirt.  

 

All 5K runners will receive an awesome 2 1/2" Custom Finishers Medal and a great Race Shirt.

 

The After Party will feature Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, and hot, fresh French Fries.  All served with your favorite condiments.  We will also have an expanded drink offering including, Ice Cold Beer, Bottled water, Gatorade, Coke products and Hard Cider for our Gluten Free Runners.

 

Transfers and deferrals are allowed up until the race is sold out or seven (7) days before Race day.   The fee to transfer is $20 plus any additional entry fee required.  The fee to defer to the 2020 race is $10.

Parking


Parking for the Event will be in front of the Publix Supermarket, 1251 South Toledo Blade Blvd.,  North Port, Florida.   Parking is free.  Walk to the sidewalk along Toledo Blade and cross Price at the crosswalk. Do not attempt to cross Price anywhere but at the light.   Please do not park anywhere around Christian Brothers, Walgreens, Advanced Auto Parts or Little Caesars Pizza or The Pink Tequila.   You could be towed.

We will be holding 3 separate packet pickups again this year!

At packet PickUp, you will be able to pick up your Race Packet and goody bag.   This will include your Shirt, Bib and a complete set of written instruction for the race day activities.

 

 

In our Race Store, you will be able to purchase an additional item to make your Race Day even more memorable.

 


The Big Dog 50/50 Raffle! 

 

We will only sell 200 tickets!   This will give you great odds of winning!  Every time we reach 200 tickets sold we will draw a winner, award the cash and start the raffle over!   If sold out the winner will go home with $2000 Cash!

At every race, we will draw a winner no matter how many tickets are sold and award 50% of whatever has been sold at that time and then restart the raffle!


Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased on our RunSignUp site, at Packet Pickup or on Race Day!

Your odds are much, much better than the lottery!   Get your ticket today!

(If 200 tickets are not sold, the winner will receive 50% of however much is sold.     As soon as 200 tickets are sold we will start a second Big Dog Raffle and all the same, rules apply!)
