Event Description

Sickle Cell Disease is an inherited, chronic blood disorder that affects approximately 110,000 Americans. Over 4 million Americans have the Sickle Cell trait. Sickle Cell is a disease that is most times forgotten. Sickle Cell Disease exists in many nationalities including African Americans, and people with ancestors from South America, Saudi, Arabia, India, Turkey, Greece, Italy, the Caribbean, and Central America. In 1983, the federal government designated September as National Sickle Cell Awareness Month.

Proceeds will benefit individuals with underlined health issues by providing the necessary support during these unfortunate times, providing necessities to ensure the fragile community stay safe, raise awareness and assisting with finding a cure for this disease.

This event is to continue bringing awareness to the disease and focus on the need for research and treatment while helping improve the quality of life for people effected with sickle cell or related illnesses.

Thank you in advance for your support and looking forward to seeing you there!
