Come on out to celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Hernandez Elementary School 333 Stagecoach Trail in San Marcos!

Wear your favoriate Day of the Dead running costume!

Take a photo with our mascots, the legendary Catrina & her escort, Juanito! ! DOOR PRIZES! MULTIPLE chances to win trophies!  Sponsor a MEMORY BOARD for display at the race in honor of a loved one who has passed, or place their name and photo on the community Day of the Dead Altar!

The late MRS. IRENE K. MENDEZ has been selected as the 2019 Dia de los Muertos Honoree & will be celebrated for her lifetime of service as a San Marcos educator. 5K proceeds are will be allocated to the Johnnie T. Rosales Memorial Scholarship (http://johnniejam.org) which distributes annual scholarships ( > $14,000 since 2010) to selected San Marcos High School graduating seniors with a portion of proceeds also benefitting the Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos, a local cultural center and museum.

Race will be held rain or shine! *In the event of a national emergency or natural disaster the race will be CANCELLED with no refunds given. We will endeavor to deliver all race swag bags and t-shirts to registered participants.
